Register Your Car at the Washington County Tax Office
Washington County uses the Two Steps, One Sticker system, and you handle your vehicle registration at the county tax office in Brenham.
Texas uses a system called Two Steps, One Sticker. Step one is your vehicle safety inspection. Step two is registration at the county tax office. You get one sticker on your windshield that shows your registration is current. You no longer get a separate inspection sticker.
In Washington County, vehicle registration is handled by the Washington County Tax Assessor-Collector at 100 E. Main St., Suite 100, Brenham. You can also renew registration online through TxDMV. Check TxDMV.gov for current fees, required documents, and online options.
